Thomas Caleel
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Thomas R. Caleel recently served as Director of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid for the Wharton School from 2005-2008. He has a wide range of experience as an entrepreneur, venture financier, and chief executive, especially in international markets. His background includes managing international development for a super-premium skincare and spa start-up; building private equity transactions in the former Soviet Republics; and raising public and private funds across the energy, recycling, and life sciences sectors.

Thomas has served as an advisor to governments, Global 100 corporations, and large foundations on higher education and talent development issues. Currently, he is serving as a Board Member on the Wharton Graduate Executive Board and as Chairman of the Santa Barbara Birth Center.

Thomas received an MBA from Wharton in 2003, with a major in finance, and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He is also an accomplished horseman who has played polo in professional tournaments around the world, and lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife and son.

Lee Stetson
Chairman, Admissions Advisory Board and Vice President Admissions

Lee Stetson recently served as the Dean of Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania where he was responsible for the management of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, overseeing 22 admissions officers and 35 support staff for the last 30 years. Prior to his leadership role at Penn, Lee was the Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Delaware, being promoted to the top role over an eleven-year period. He started his career as an Area Field Manager with Bell Telephone Company and teacher at Springfield High School in Pennsylvania.
Lee has been active as a leader in the admissions field. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for the College Board. In addition, Lee was elected President of the Potomac/Chesapeake Chapter of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling. He has consulted with the College Board and the U.S. State Department with secondary schools in Mexico and South America. Lee also served as a Lieutenant in the Signal Corps in the United States Army. He completed a BS in Business and Economics at the University of Delaware and MS in Educational Counseling and Administration at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah Walsh
Senior Consultant

Sarah worked in the Undergraduate Admissions Office at the University of Pennsylvania as the Associate Director of On-Campus Programs, with a year as Acting Regional Director of Manhattan and the Bronx. Throughout her four-year tenure in Penn Admissions, she evaluated over 1,250 applications, and managed 250 student staff and volunteers. While completing her MBA at the Wharton School, Sarah's positions included: Graduate Assistant in MBA Admissions - evaluating applications and conducting interviews; Omnicom Communications Fellow - coaching and advising students in Wharton's communication program; and a marketing internship at McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a J&J company, working on competitive analysis and brand strategy for Tylenol.
Sarah has a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Marketing and Management.

Heather Kennedy
Associate

Heather has had a wide variety of internship experiences in the last few years. Most recently, she interned at BlueCrest Capital, LLC, a leading hedge fund in London where she worked within the Investor Services department. Previous to that, she also interned for a summer at ABC's 'Good Morning America, where she worked in the green room while assisting show producers and studio crew.
Heather completed her BA in Communications, with a minor in Anthropology from University of Pennsylvania in 2009. While enrolled at Penn, Heather was a four-year member of the varsity track team, the Co-President of the Penn chapter of 85 Broads, and also a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Staff
GEO maintains a group of several Ivy League graduates as readers for student application essays.
They have degrees in a variety of disciplines such as economics, literature, and linguistics. Lee Stetson and members of the Admissions Advisory Board have trained these readers extensively.
